Mother Lode Coffee Roasting Co. uses a 1970 Probat G90 to put the roasting in MLCRC! A 90 kilo German roaster with a reputation for consistency and quality, it has allowed MLCRC to grow and remain competitive in an ever expanding industry. By way of the East Coast, this baby traveled from a peddler in the Mid West to San Francisco for refurbishing, to be installed and nestled into the Foothills where it continues it’s tenure. It’s large, intended for real production, boasting a continual cycle of roasting 200 lbs. of beans every 15 minutes. That is more than we are need of at the moment, but it allows us to handle our load with ease. We adjust our amount for roasting depending on the orders to be fulfilled, meaning no old coffee laying around looking for a home.
